The Lakeside Club – Sale was born in 2009 with the merger of the Sale Community Sports Club Inc. and the Sale Bowls Club Inc. which formed the Sale Community Bowls Club Inc with the purpose of providing support to sporting and community activities. The new Clubs origins come from a diverse range of sport which includes football, bowls, cricket, basketball, badminton and table tennis and continuing partnerships with some of these sports continue today.

The Club has an active bowls division which competes in both the NGBA and the NGLA pennants as well as regional and state tournaments. The Lakeside Club is the principal sponsor of both the Sale Football/Netball Club and the Sale Cricket Club. The Club has expanded its community activities over the last few years by raising money for local charities in conjunction with the above affiliated clubs as well as responding to appeals such as the Black Saturday Bushfire Appeal and the Central Gippsland Health Service (Sale Hospital) for special projects.

The Club holds two Bingo sessions every week on Wednesdays and Sundays with eyes down at 1.00pm, there is also an active Social Club which organises activities as well as holding regular Thursday and Friday night raffles, Members Draws together with Jackpot Draws held each week at both venues.

Our Bistro is open 4 days a week for dinner from 6.00pm and we have play stations and a fantastic play-area for the kids. There is also a ramp to the Bistro for easy access.

We cater for all Functions, Conferences and Conventions so don't forget to book your next event with us.

For the sports enthusiast we have TVN - the thoroughbred racing channel, Sports Pick for all tipping competitions and ONE-HD for all sport coverage. Live Afl And Rugby matches live on Austar, come and watch them on the Big Screen 

No matter what the season, you can sit out in the beer garden and watch the local football (Sale Football Club) or the cricket (Sale Cricket Club)  and cheer them on.
